Happy Thursday!
It’s getting ready to rain here and there are flood warnings all over New England, but I’ve been up since 5:15 am which for some odd reason has me in the best mood. SO weird and unlike me. I’ve worked out 4 times at my local CrossFit “box” in the past week and forgot how good working out is for your psyche. I should have done this a long time ago but better late than never!
I have so many things to be grateful for this week:
- My threenager. Three-years-old is such a funny age. For example, Jackson likes people with long hair to wear it down. Not in a pony tail or braid, but down only. If I put Sidney’s hair in pigtails he will remove the elastics while I’m not looking. When he flushed those giant plastic coins down the toilet last week, his main concern was what kind of hair the plumber would have. Turns out the guy was bald.
- My in-laws for watching the kids while my hubby and I get to go to Boston this weekend. Yay for alone time!
- The Honest Toddler book. I got this book to review and have laughed out loud more than ever. It’s a seriously funny read and you should check it out!
- Girlfriends. Every woman needs some quality girlfriends and I’m blessed to have so many. Thanks ladies!
What are you thankful for this week?
I love reading your Thankful Thursday posts and comments!
I used to love going to the gym for 6AM, now I’m just too lazy. I need to snap out of it. My son had a thing about hair too.
Jackson’s obsession with hair is so funny!! Glad you’re loving your new workouts! I hate waking up early, but when I do I’m so happy my workout is done for the day!
Great list, Joanna! The hair obsession CRACKS me up. And girlfriends. So thankful for them too. I’m so thankful we’ve met through RB and Rhody Bloggers for Good. I’m so excited that you get to escape to Boston with your husband. Have a wonderful time!
Great list, as usual. After having a few-week foot injury, I am ready to begin working out again. Nothing like NOT being able to do it to WANT to do it (AND registering for Providence Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon!). Love the kids’ hair stories! Have a wonderful weekend!
I will ATTEMPT early morning workouts…at some point! 😉 I’m glad you are enjoying crossfit! Working out really is great for not just your physical well being but your mental well being as well! Girlfriends, fitness, clean eating, support & inspiration…a great combination!
I find it hilarious he takes out her pigtails! When the boys were smaller they used to have to hold a chunk of my hair when they were cuddling with me but my hair was longer then. Too cute!
Love this list – especially Jackson’s hair interest 🙂 Have a blast in Boston!
Good for you for working out 4x! I can’t wait to finally be able to do something other than walking 🙂
I’ve been thankful for my parents as well, who watched Rhys so Blake and I could have our first night w/o our baby!
Your kids are hilarious!
I am thankful for my mother in law who is giving me some time for me while my hubby is away on business!
My sister is dealing with two crazy toddlers right now! I may have to get her that book. I am sure she could use a laugh!
I think there is something to say for having that alone time in the morning before everyone else is up. Its like good for the soul or something. Now, maybe I should take my own advice! 🙂
“Threenager,” awesome! LOL!
I”m thankful this week for being able to acquire extra work so that I can help support my family.
