I feel like myself again. I’m not at my old college weight, but I am definitely at a pre-Sidney weight, maybe even close to pre-Jackson weight and it feels great. Since the start of Project 10 6 weeks ago, I’m down 6.7 pounds. It doesn’t sound like much to me when typing it or saying it out loud, however it has meant the difference of a muffin top with jeans or having my “standby” yoga pants be baggy. The difference that makes it easier for me to choose the grilled chicken salad over a cheeseburger, because I have seen the results in my own body.
Ever since I started using the My Fitness Pal app, I hold myself accountable for what I eat. Those chocolate glazed munchkins I buy for play dates? Definitely not worth the 70(ish) calories EACH, especially since it leaves a greasy film on the top of my mouth- yuck! As a family, we have been making healthier choices. More vegetables from our own garden, leaner meats and less eating out. Eating cleaner has brought us together and I enjoy our family dinners.
I’m still going to the gym, and getting stronger feels great. I wish I would have made these decisions a long time ago, however I’m grateful for Project 10 to give me the kick in the rear I needed to get in gear and hold myself accountable.
Just the other night, after I submitted my food diary in the My Fitness Pal app, it popped up with this screen:
5 weeks? That is SO close! My original goal is 140 but my next goal will be 135. After all, my poor body has gone from 140 to 194 back to 143 in 18 months. That’s 105 pounds gained and lost. CRAZY, sometimes I don’t give my body enough credit for carrying a baby and then bouncing back to pretty good shape afterwards– thanks body!
So the numbers for week 6 of Project 10 are:
beginning weight: 150.0
beginning of week 6: 145.2
end of week 6: 143.3*
-1.9 lbs for the week
-6.7 lbs TOTAL

Great Job! I’m so happy to hear about your success, it just might inspire me to lose my 10 I’ve been talking about losing for a while!!
Woohoo! Keep up the great work. 🙂 (ps…I think my favorite part of My Fitness Pal is seeing other people’s diaries. It gives me snack & meal ideas to keep me under my calorie goal!)
Such an inspiration!
Woohoo!! All the hard work is paying off!! You look great!!!! I think you should post anther pic to show how well your doing!!
You are doing AMAZING!!! Isn’t it amazing when you start adding up all the calories how the little things (like munchkins) can add up so incredibly fast!!
I really need to track more on My Fitness Pal so I will be too embarassed to eat that second bowl of Resse’s Puffs since I know you all will see it!!
That’s awesome! I’m trying to get my body back I shape after having my second son two months ago. I’ve only worked out once (in my living room, for 15 minutes) because it’s too hard to get enough time to myself for a good workout, but I’ve gotten to my pre-pregnancy weight! What i’ve learned is that the number on the scale doesn’t reflect how my body looks. I want to tighten up my belly so that I can feel comfortable in my jeans again.
Keep up the good work!
