One of my Rhody Blogger friends, Melissa at Filling Our Bucket, let our group know about this fun link up over at Adventuroo.com. The #weekinmylife project is exactly like what it sounds like: documenting a week in your life. You can do as much or as little as you’d like and honestly, I’m totally disappointed in Day 1 for me. I’m still recovering from the weekend and Miss Sidney just had her second tooth break through, which meant waking up in pain multiple (three) times last night. I’m tired and not used to this newborn sleep thing.
I’m not going to let one less-than-stellar documentation day get to me, I will take more pictures tomorrow and do a better job documenting a day in our life. Here is my pretty boring Monday:
I started my Monday morning off by watching a little Today Show & enjoying a hot Pumpkin Spice K-Cup while Jackson ate a bagel and Sidney devoured french toast.
Jackson had a little friend come over and they watched Cinderella and dined on bagels.
The weather was absolutely perfect today in Rhode Island so we ventured outside to soak up some sunshine (after applying sunscreen). Jackson has been enjoying that little Minnie Mouse 4-wheeler my sister-in-law gave Sidney for her birthday.
Sticks for snacks for Sidney girl!
I love Fall, but these leaves are seriously out of control…
After Jackson’s friend went home and we ate lunch, it was time for some clean up. Little People are favorites around here and even the Princesses have to drive tractors and do chores… No one napped around here so I packed up the kids and headed to the Toyota dealership. The third row of my van squeaks like crazy so I dropped it off and got a loaner. Doing anything with 2 kids is never an easy task, but moving 2 car seats while managing 2 kids solo isn’t fun. We survived though and headed home.
While waiting for Daddy to get home, these two buddies kicked back and relaxed. They lead the life of leisure! We had a nice pasta dinner and I’m waiting for our first Pea Pod delivery. I decided to try it out last night when the thought of grocery shopping with 2 kids overwhelmed me– I hope it’s a good experience because it is definitely easier to save money shopping online!
Tuesday is my skin cancer surgery. I almost forgot about it until the hospital called this afternoon to get some information. Emergency contact, religion, etc. I had to run down to the office and fish out the surgery paperwork to fill out for tomorrow. I’m totally behind the eight ball on that.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a day in my life, Tuesday style. Are you linked up? Would love to read your posts!
I love the pictures! We are having teething (I think that’s what it is anyway) issues here, too. We love Little People as well…I think it’s great that the princesses are doing chores 😉
Loved seeing those precious faces sitting there eating breakfast and watching the TV. I remember those days, though room never looked so orderly. Happy Tuesday.
oops. Just read that your a Gator. I’m here 20 miles from Athens and these Bulldogs are all over me about this week’s game. Do you believe it. They are too much. I hope we KILL them. Not literally of course. GO Gators.
Good luck today. xoxo
Your kitchen is so neat! Is it always that neat? 😉
How do you keep your kitchen so clean? My kids used to lounge in their little chairs, now they took over the couch. I love the dog on the couch in the background. Good luck with the surgery.
I’ll be thinking of you and your surgery tomorrow. I hope all goes well. I absolutely love all of your pictures. You’ve got a great eye for capturing the everyday.
I look forward to reading more this week.
Look at your day! I love their little chairs- I wish I could get Zane to sit still for second. I will be thinking and praying for you tomorrow!
I.hope your surgery went well today, thinking good thoughts!
I am loving these week in my life posts. I want to hear how you like pea pod. I dread bringing the 3 boys to the grocery store.
I hope everything went well today!
The push was my fave when the kids were younger!!!
Those little chairs are so cute! I think you did a fab job documenting! Oh and this Pea Pod thing sounds intriguing! Anyway, welcome to Week in My Life!
