Our cloth diaper stash so far… We have more gDiapers than any other brand because they fit Jackson well and my husband will use them. He still hasn’t ventured into using any other brands of cloth diapers except for the orange Thirsties AIO that he put on backwards yesterday morning thinking it was a gDiaper. It was pretty cute to undress Jackson to find a big bubble but out front. I’m so proud of him for reaching for the gDiapers instead of the Huggies whenever he changes a diaper!
I’ve also started using cloth wipes. I’ve discovered they are easier to use instead of fishing out shreds of disposable wipes from my diaper laundry when they always manage to get washed and dried. I bought some 2 sided flannel wipes from Etsy and love them! I made a lavender and tea tree oil wipes solution and they stay toasty warm in my Prince Lionheart Wipes Warmer. Jackon’s eyes don’t get huge every time I wipe him now and big messes are cleaned up with one cloth wipe versus three or four disposable ones.
Cloth diapering is going better than I could have expected in our home and I missed it when we vacationed in Florida last week. Not to mention so did Jackson’s little butt, which turned red when using the Huggies!
The cloth wipe solution we are using from Zany-zebra.com:
Lavender ‘n’ Tea Tree
Lavender and Tea Tree are popular EO choices for wipe solutions.
1/8 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon baby shampoo
4 drops tea tree oil
8 drops lavender oil
3 cups water
Variation: Use lavender baby oil and lavender baby wash for a heavenly Lavender wash. Thanks to Nicole M. for this variation.
