Ever have those weeks where you just feel kind of whiney and tired? That. That’s been my week, but I need to snap out of it. I can’t seem to catch up on sleep and keep my eyes open without 3 cups of coffee and my poor Keurig has gotten such a workout that my husband even noticed when he got home from work on Monday and the K-cup supply had dwindled dramatically.
Enough feeling sorry for myself. Life is good and I am thankful. Here is what I’m thankful for this week:
- Christmas decorations (even though half of my lights won’t stay on because our house’s electrical system is so sensitive to water and we had a bunch of rain/snow)
- A fireplace to warm our living room on these chilly days
- The kindest builders ever who helped me hang a wreath on my house using their 16 foot ladder when I could have never done it myself
- A Mom who is my best friend and dropped her plans this weekend to fly up for Jackson’s birthday party when my Grandparents couldn’t make it due to a last minute illness
- Sweet Jackson who is so grown up now I can barely stand it
- Sidney who is getting sassier by the minute (how apropos that her initials are SAS!)
- All of you. I’ve met some of the best people through blogging and I appreciate every single comment and email.
What are you thankful for?
I feel like we are in full swing holiday craziness already and I need to keep my gratitude at the forefront of my thoughts. I would love it if you left a comment with your thoughts or linked up. Have a great day! 😀

It is OKAY to feel this way, girl! I totally get it…and I adore your list. I hope you feel back to normal soon. And remember, it’s ALL good!
Oh yes. I have TOO many weeks like that. I can feel myself slipping into one this week, actually. It’s ok to feel this way sometimes though. I think it helps sometimes, in realizing the good around us every day!
It’s okay to whine. Lack of K-cups would put me in a funk. I hope Jackson has a wonderful birthday!
Now that I’m 33 weeks pregnant (today!) and the holiday pressure is on, I’m feeling a bit whiney myself. It’s OK to have moments like these if it helps us feel better! 🙂 Good thing, us moms know the feeling. On this Thursday, I’m thankful tomorrow’s Friday. I’m tired! haha
OH, you and I are both suffering from narcolepsy this week. I feel better that I’m not alone in drinking way too much coffee. 🙂 I am so jealous of your fireplace. I’m sure your house looks beautiful!
I’m sorry to hear you are tired. We all have those periods to go through sometimes. I am definitely thankful for coffee! And not just when I’m tired. Feel better!
I’ve had a less than fabulous week myself. I’m hoping once I decorate it’ll be better. I have not been able to sleep well either this week, hope you can catch up soon.
I definitely have weeks like that….you’re doing a great job! Having a kid with a birthday around the holidays must be so stressful…I know I get stressed planning parties and my kids’ aren’t in December! You can do it…and hey, keep drinking that coffee…that’s what it’s there for 😉 I’m going to write my post and link up in a little bit!
I have absolutely had one of those weeks. I was very happy it was Thankful Thursday today, because it helped me snap out of this dismal abyss for a few minutes and think about happy things. And coffee is the best discovery EVER.
That is so awesome of your mom! My mom is one of my best friends, too. It’s great, isn’t it? 🙂 Also, I love having a cozy fireplace on chilly nights, too! Great list!
Your mom is amazing. I love how close you are. Me? I’m thankful for this holiday season and my daughters cuddling up with books to read to one another.
That is so sweet that your mom dropped her plans to come celebrate! She is awesome! Oh and I am so jealous of your decorations.
Everyone has off weeks, heck I’ve had off months!!! This is the perfect time of year to look around and be thankful for each and everything and each and every person we have in our lives!!! Great list! Merry Christmas!!
