Every single week it feels like the week has *just* started when Thursday rolls around. I force myself to sit down on Wednesday night, or Thursday morning before rushing Jackson to preschool playgroup, and write down what I’m thankful for. No matter what has happened during the past 7 days, it always brings a smile to my face to spell out the thanks.
Today, I am thankful for:
- My husband’s wonderful college friends and their families, whom we were able to spend the weekend with in Maine. It was a blast hanging out with old friends and meeting some new ones, plus all of the kids thrown into the mix. Life is good and I’m thankful for friends, old and new.
- Jackson finally getting the hang of potty training. Also, a 17-month-old who is trying to potty train herself and pooped on the potty tonight. Could I be done with diapers in 6 months? I hope so.
- Spring. Although we are supposed to get some snow tomorrow, according to the #1 weather guy Fred Campagna of RightWeather.net, I know the sun and heat of summer is just around the corner.
- All of the people I have met from this blog.
- Health. I don’t want to take my health and my family’s health for granted. Life is short, too short to focus on the negative.

GO SIDNEY!!!! That’s so awesome. We’re at the stage where Charlotte rips her diaper off as soon as it’s wet and runs around naked and then frantically yells, “MOMMY< PEEEEE" and I barely make it to the toilet with her before she goes. Or, other times, she just does her thing wherever she is. π Also- more snow?? Good Lord. I need to go stalk Fred's site now….
Best TT ever – I mean imagine the hopes of no diapers in 6 months! And glad to see you write ‘valuing of your health?’ because it truly is #1
Beautiful “thanks”. Friends, the hope of Spring, your health… and the inkling of NO DIAPERS! Thanks, indeed!
Love this post – truly great things to be thankful for! Heath for me and the tiny baby I’m growing are the number one thing I am thankful for this week π
No more snow please. I kid you not as I just wrote that the flurries are totally flying by the window. UGH. At least its sunny. We are on the potty training wagon here too and I am hoping I will get some diaper free time before the second baby comes. Happy Thursday!

I’m Thankful for friends like you! π Whoa Sidney girl…popping on the potty! That is excellant!! I would for sure be Thankful for an easier potty training with the 2nd one & to be diaper free! π Living a Thankful life brings a smile to my face everyday, it takes minutes but does wonders!! Thank you for starting Thankful Thursdays!!!
You just reminded me to be thankful once again to the no more diapers. It’s just lovely.
Once they’re out of diapers, it’s great. My son trained himself, it was awesome. If she wants to do it, let her. Go Sydney!
Go Sidney! Go Jackso! That’s awesome. Yay for the potty!!!! (can you tell that I’m in full on yay for the potty mode too?! ;))

I look forward to your Thursday posts because it’s such a nice moment to take stock in all you have to be grateful for, and then to take pause on everything I have to be thankful for. Glad you had fun with your hubs college friends – I miss the getaways our college crowd used to have many moons ago!
