Thankful Thursday

timelifes Thankful Thursday

Good morning!

Has this week flown by for you like it has me? Before children, it felt like forever to get to the end of a work week. After children, I swear I just blink and the week is over. Maybe it’s just because I want to pause my life right now and savor every moment. I found this quote on Pinterest and love it: “The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.”

Here’s what I’m thankful for this week:

  • My Mom, who helped re-gain my sanity after helping me organize our closets
  • Amazing friends and neighbors whom my husband and kids all adore
  • My kids’ health
  • Friends like Kirsten who talk about how much better her family has felt since going gluten-free. I’ve noticed I feel much better when I don’t eat wheat products, it’s time for my diet to have an overhaul!
  • Having the best high-end consignment store only 30 minutes away. I love being able to find great quality clothes and toys at Luca Boutique in Warren, RI. The owner is so sweet and I always find wonderful things for my kids.

What are you thankful for?

Being a working outside the home mom, time has been CRAWLING for me lately. Well, at least the work days. Minutes seem like hours. Yet, when I’m home with Benjamin and Stephen, and we are having fun and enjoying every second of our time together….I blink and it is bedtime. Or Sunday evening again. Like you, I wish I could just stop time. Also, gluten free living is amazing. I’ve finally gotten back on track with it recently, and in just a few days feel incredible again. I have celiac in my family, and believe I have a gluten sensitivity, so for me, it is a no brainer to cut it out MOST of the time (I still can’t resist all sweets). ha! xo

I miss shopping that store. Yes, thank goodness for great neighbors…you’ve heard about my nasty ones so hug yours. :) Yes, time is flying right by especially being pregnant. I feel as though the first time I was pregnant it went by so slow.

Yah! For regaining control of your closets. How awesome! I know I feel so lucky to have such a core group of friends where everyone gets along- husbands, kids, etc. It makes life that much better!

great list this week! my mom is my savior, too. she just fixes everything when it needs fixing. i need to get over to luca–i hear nothing but amazing stuff about them. and we’ve been pretty much gluten-free since the beginning of january and it is amazing what a difference it has made. although no one in my family has an actual sensitivity to it, our overall health, energy and well-being (for all five of us) have bettered. Good luck!!!

Love this, Joanna. Thanks to your list, I’m going to call my mom, schedule a lunch date with Kirsten (who I’ve known and adored since 2005), check out that cute consignment shop in Warren and stop to take it all in. My favorite part of your post is how you wish you could hit “pause” because the weeks fly by so fast and you have to savor every moment with your babies. You are such a great mom! I feel that way all the time! Next time you’re in Warren, give me a shout and I’ll try to meet you at Luca! ;)

What a great quote! Own it, baby! :-)
We’re lucky to have amazing neighbors, too, who aren’t just neighbors but dear friends. Our girls are glued at the hip and are the best of buds and we all enjoy camping, beaching and spending time together.
