Hi there!
I’ve been quiet, I’m sorry. I’ve enjoyed having my husband home for 5 straight days and spending quality time with the family so my blog has been slightly neglected. I’m back though and glad to have another Thankful Thursday.
Things I’m thankful for this week:
- A white Christmas. I actually gasped out loud when I came down our stairs and saw the snow-covered ground. Growing up in Florida, I’m not used to white Christmases so it is truly a treat!
- Health.
- A husband who surprises me with how thoughtful he can be, out of the blue. Thank you honey.
- My great-grandmother’s china and my husband’s grandmother’s crystal and silver. There’s something special about dining on these heirlooms that have been in our families for many, many years.
- Cute toys my children got from Santa, including the Fisher Price Little People horse trailer and jumping set. Since I was an equestrian growing up, I’ve searched far and wide for a Little People horse set and was thrilled when I found one at our local Benny’s.
Our Christmas was nice, my best one yet. Being a parent makes holidays so much better, especially when your kids are thrilled with the idea of Santa.

I’m not blogging this week but I agree Christmas with children is seriously magical. Now that B is a little older and “gets it” and loves to tear into gifts, it makes it so much fun.
We are having a fantastic week just hanging out and playing with all our new toys. There has been VERY little screen time so far, which is awesome. Just music playing in the background and the sound of trains and race cars and the Little People Zoo and Tag Jr. reading. Love it.

Being a parent really does put the magic back into Christmas.
This was our best Christmas yet, too. The girls were so incredible excited and the magic was in full-force around here. And, now, they are occupied for months!
Throughout all of this week, I keep thinking about how fortunate we are. How lucky these girls are to have a Christmas like this. It’s a reminder of the blessings we are graced with and to never take those things for granted. I’m thankful for tonight!)
