Stork Stack subscription: January 2013 {review}

I adore subscription services. There is something about seeing a package on my doorstep each month that just makes me smile. I’ve been a long-time subscriber of the beauty subscription service, Ipsy, and have tried out other services like Birchbox & TeetheMe in the past.

When I drove up and discovered a brightly colored {adorable} box on my porch, I couldn’t wait to open up my first Stork Stack. January’s theme was a “Happy, Healthy New Year” and included a nice note from the founder Terri.

Here is what was included in my January 2013 Stork Stack geared towards Sidney (14 months old):

  • Sara Haley’s Sweat UNLIMITED DVD : new mom Sara’s program includes 5 different workouts of increasing length (5 to 45 minutes), bonus is none of the workouts require equipment so it is super-simple to get a workout in at home during naptime ($24.99)
  • Boon SWIG Sippy Cup: this sleep purple & green sippy cup is easy to grip for both Sidney & Jackson and is perfect for tots on the go. I’ll be packing this sippy cup in our carry on bag when we fly for sure, this Boon cup is much less bulky than our Playtex sippy cups. ($9.99)
  • Susan Brown’s Baby Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer: a 4.17 ounce container of antibacterial hand sanitizer perfectly sized for the diaper bag. It’s also paraben & phthalate free– a major plus in my book! ($8)
  • On the Go! Just Like Me! Book by Child’s Play: this fun little board book focuses on babies abilities and has flaps on every page. Sidney is at the age where she squeals in delight every time she opens a flap, so this book is perfect for her age. ($6.99)
  • Instagrad $10 to 529 Savings Plan:{edited with info from the Stork Stack folks} “Instagrad actually attaches to your existing 529 to allow friends and family to directly give money to your 529. Its a great way to make growing your existing 529 a gift idea for loved ones. The $10 will be applied directly to your existing 529 when you link Instagrad to it.” I was confused at first because I thought it was a separate 529 account, now that I know it can be linked to any 529 account, I will definitely be using this credit! ($10)

Total value of my January 2013 Stork Stack: $59.97.  That’s over twice the cost of a Stork Stack monthly subscription of $28! In addition to a monthly subscription (which you can cancel any time), you can purchase multiple month packages and the folks at Stork Stack will donate Stacks to a family in need. What a fun way to try 5 different products each month and help people out at the same time!

Stork Stack also has a ‘Shower Stack” for the new Mom in your life ($40) which is shipped when ordered and includes the best products for brand new babies and Moms (this box never changes, btw). I LOVE this as a gift, especially since my kids have used all of the  products in a Shower Stack (Sidney is still addicted to her Wubbanubs).

If you’re looking for a fun way to try unique products for your baby (from 3rd trimester to 3 years old) give Stork Stack a try! You can learn more about them at StorkStack.com, on their Facebook page or reach out to them on Twitter.

**I was sent a Stork Stack in order to facilitate this review and was not compensated in any way. As always, my opinions are my own**

    I love receiving my Stork Stack boxes. I have been getting them for a few months and every month is something new and awesome that I never have seen nor had with my other children. My friends are always asking me where I got stuff at. Januarys box had a dvd for me to work out and I love it. My husband was happy to because it takes a lot for me to do something and staring at the dvd made me get up and start working out. I feel better about myself and have more energy to do things. I also love the teething pacifier for my little guy. He seems to enjoy it to. And the gas drops work wonders on him. I am so looking forward to what comes in February box. Thank you Stork Stack for all the amazing new stuff to make my life easy and fit great in diaper bags.
