Many of my friends are scrambling to get pictures of their kids for Christmas cards done in time for Christmas. Or New Years. If your kids are anything like mine, getting them to look at the camera is nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Also, if you are anything like me 90% of your pictures come from your iPhone.
There’s a great new app called Picasound (get it? Pick a Sound
) that helps solve the problem of kids not looking at (or running away from) you when you try to snap a picture of them. It’s a simple idea and I wish I would have invented this nifty app: make a funny sound and kids will look! It reminds me of the time we tried to get pictures when Sidney was a newborn and Amy Ro had to pretend Elmo was in her camera while she made Elmo voices. You know what? It worked.
For only $1.99, Picasound is a bargain and a fun way to make your kids interact with your phone’s camera. Our personal favorites were the dog, lion, pig & train! Download it and let me know what your favorites are
Here are some of my Picasound pics:
It also works on animals!
One trick I learned after emailing the developer is to hold down the shutter button for as long as you need and the sound you choose will keep repeating until you release & take the picture
Invented by fellow Gator Grads, you can find more on Picasound here:

Disclaimer: I paid for this app on my own, I just thought it was cool and many of you guys could find it handy! The developers did kindly offer me a code to give away to one of you though, good luck!

Always enjoy your blog!
Snap my fingers, which doesn’t work
LOVE Picasound!!
This would be so helpful with my 4 yr old who never stays still
This would help with picture taking! Instead of me making some weird noise…
