I am a huge fan of supporting businesses that give back to their community. One of my favorite businesses, Edible Arrangements, is doing something fantastic here in New England. In addition to their awesomely fresh, tasty arrangements, they are raising money help create a world free of Multiple Sclerosis.
You can help support this cause purchasing an Orange Blossom® arrangement from one of their participating locations from March 1st –March 31st. A donation of $5 from the sale of each Orange Blossom® arrangement purchased in March will be made to the National MS Society. Delivery of the Orange Blossom arrangement can be for any date in 2013. Look how amazing that arrangement looks! I know of one family member recovering from surgery who I need to send one to!
The story behind the New England area Edible Arrangement’s support of MS is a touching one. Here’s a little more about franchisee owner Nick D’Alleva:
Nick D’Alleva has been a member of the Edible Arrangements® family as a franchise owner since 2004, when he began developing what is now a 3-store enterprise in the Boston-Manchester area.
Nick and his family have been advocates for the National MS Society and support the organization through Edible Arrangements® product donations and fundraising efforts.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a cause that is near to Nick’s heart, as it has personally touched members of his family. Nick’s brother-in-law, niece and members of his extended family have battled or are currently battling this disease.
To date, Nick and his family represent the largest fundraising group for the MS Challenge Walk on Cape Cod!In September of 2011, Nick championed the MS cause, and led his fellow Boston-Manchester area franchisee owners in a united fundraising effort to help create a world free of MS. With just two weeks of fundraising, these franchisee owners raised $5,240!
With the success of this effort, Nick and the Boston-Manchester area stores extended their fundraising efforts in 2012 for the entire month of March – MS Awareness Month. This fundraiser was another great success, raising $10,000 for the National MS Society in 2012.
