You are already 25 months old and I haven’t had a chance to write you your 2 year letter yet! I can’t believe you’re such a big boy already. Your vocabulary is unbelievable and you pick up on new words the first time hearing them. Although you speak very quickly, you are talking in full sentences that make perfect sense if you can decipher your speedy speech (or Alien as my Mom says).
You became a big brother almost 3 months ago and have taken on the role happily. Your baby “sissy” is your favorite person in the world and I couldn’t be more pleased with what a great big brother you are to her.
When we went to your 2 year pediatrician appointment, you were about 33 inches tall and 23.3 pounds, putting you in the 4th percentile for weight. You are too tall for 12-18 month pants but 24 months fall off your skinny waist. You’re small, but finally eating better and will even tell me you’re hungry by saying “Jackson hungry.” We’re working on that whole “talking in third person” habit you’ve picked up. Your favorite drink is chocolate milk and your favorite food are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, or CUPS as you call them.
Your favorite thing to do is go downstairs and “play trains.” Santa brought you SO many trains this year they can barely fit on your train table! Your favorite stuffed animals are “green Scout” and “purple Scout.” You want to carry them with you everywhere.
You’ve become Daddy’s best friend and love to go to Boston College basketball games and watch “Baldwin.” One of my favorite memories of the past few months is when you came home from a game super late and were so excited to tell me you gave Baldwin high-fives. Come to find out, Daddy have Baldwin high-fives because you were too shy when you got close enough to him. I’m glad you remember it fondly though.
I know I tell you this every month, but you’re an awesome kid and our family is so lucky to have you. Thank you for every kiss, hug and tantrum.
All my love,
