Hi there! My name is Joanna & I am a (new) stay at home Mom of a 9 week old baby boy named Jackson. I’ve never blogged before, although I spend way too much time on Twitter, Facebook & the Internet in general. I am starting this blog so I don’t forget about things that my son does. He’s only a couple of months old and I already find myself forgetting little details that would have been really easy to blog about. I hope my writing will improve as I post more, so please forgive me for being rusty.
You can almost always find my husband and I on the couch with a laptop in each lap. We’ve been married for three years this April and live in New England.
Some things you should know about us:
- I am from Florida & attended the University of Florida, Go Gators. Hence the name of this blog. Jackson’s a Baby Gator, despite his father being a die-hard Boston College Eagle’s fan. My blog, my name.
- I used to sell drugs up until January of this year. Legal drugs. It’s the career that moved me to New England in the first place. I accepted a job with a giant pharma company five years ago and they relocated me up here. Best thing I ever did because I met my husband & we’ve started a family but I miss my family, especially my Mom.
- We are dog crazies. We used to have two dogs, but my 13.5 year old Lambchop crossed the rainbow bridge on December 30, 2009. I had her since I was 16 years old and she grew up with me, went to college with me & moved to New England with me. I miss her. Our other pup is Rex, a four year old Yorkshire Terrier. I call him a giant, or standard, yorkie though because he is huge. I bought him on the Internet & he was supposed to be seven pounds fully grown. When I picked him up at 6 weeks old he was already six pounds. Shit. He’s a good dog though, albeit a little whiny and insecure.
