This picture may look like a normal 2-month-old “tummy time” shot, but it is much more for me. See the little orange diaper? That is Jackson’s first pair of gDiapers.
He doesn’t look too thrilled about them, but I’m looking forward to trying something that is better for the environment and Jackson than disposable diapers.
Pigs are flying through our house right now, because I swore I’d never use any type of cloth diaper. Granted, these are a “hybrid” diaper, meaning that they come with inserts that can be thrown away and biodegrade in 50-100 days. There are also hemp cloth inserts available, which we are going to try out as well.
Hopefully my husband will get on board and we will love the gDiapers and do our part for the environment.
We are starting to use them officially tomorrow since Jackson goes to bed at 7pm and I didn’t feel ready for him to wear them at night when he’s only worn them for one time before. He wore this pair for a few minutes and had a really wet diaper but no leaking! I’ll spend tonight trying to read a little more about the best ways to use the gDiapers. If you have any tips or tricks with cloth diapering/gDiapers, I would LOVE to hear them!
We’re predicted to get 12+ inches of snow tomorrow, so what better time to hang out around the house and test diapers?
