It’s been quiet around here because I have no words for what happened on Monday afternoon in Boston. Nothing I can say is even worthy.
Despite the horrific events this week, there are still things to be thankful for.
- I’m thankful that there are heroes in the world who run TOWARDS a bomb to help strangers.
- I’m thankful that there are way more good people than evil. I will not let terrorists force me to live in fear.
- I’m thankful that I have faith in God.
My gratitude list is a little shorter than normal, not because my gratitude is less than normal, but out of respect for the families of the Boston victims. I can’t imagine the pain they are going through and I think about them often. I hope that tragedies like this will serve as a reminder for all of us to love each other, every single day.
Well said. I feel the same way. š
Such a sad week!
Perfect quote choice. I agree, such a heavy hearted week. Thankful we can hold those we love close.
Beautiful.
I’m trying to not live in fear and finding it very hard.
Indeed. I have struggled with writing this week as well. It is so important to observe and reflect and be thankful.
I am disgusted they way some people disregard human life, but I refuse to live in fear.
This has been one heck of a week. Despite it all we must remember to love one another. Thanks for hosting!
The PERFECT list. Courage, braverly, heroism, and goodness.
