As a mom of 2 kids, I’ve learned that despite having the exact same genetics as each other, siblings can be total opposites. This has proven true with my Jackson and Sidney, especially in the eating department. My firstborn, Jackson, has been diagnosed as “failure to thrive” while my Sidney adores eating. One thing both kids have in common are their love of squeezable pouches, like Ella’s Kitchen organic baby food.
I discovered Ella’s Kitchen years ago when Jackson would only eat out of pouches. He only ate food out of the “squeezes” (as we call them in our house) because we think he had some type of sensory issue, especially when he was teething. He is almost 3 years old and now eats other types of foods, but still loves to eat Ella’s Kitchen- especially while we are on the go.
Sidney loves to eat Ella’s Kitchen squeezes for a completely different reason. She isn’t a picky eater, but she HAS to feed herself. She’s been little Miss Independent since she started eating solids so Ella’s Kitchen packs are perfect for her to feed herself. Some friends of mine like to squeeze their packs onto a spoon or into a bowl to feed their babies, but Sidney likes to help herself directly from the pack. She learned very quickly to squeeze from the bottom and get more food. Ella’s Kitchen packs are so great to carry in my diaper bag, especially since I know my kids devour them! Without fail, every single time I pull them out in public, a mom or grandma asks me about them and wishes they were around when their kids were little.
Ella’s Kitchen was started by Ella’s dad, Paul, and his goal was to make eating fun, tasty and cool for kids. Here are some additional reasons we love Ella’s Kitchen:
- NO added sugar, salt or water
- NO preservatives or thickeners
- NO egg, wheat or gluten
- BPA free packaging
- 100% organic baby and kids food
- Unique flavor combinations
- Easy to travel with and take on the go
- Can store at room temp or in the fridge/freezer for a slushee or to keep the lunchbox cool
- Re-sealable, once opened can be kept in the fridge for 48 hours
What is your favorite flavor of Ella’s Kitchen? Sidney’s is “The Yellow One” and Jackson loves “The Purple One.” Ella’s Kitchen kindly sent us a box of their treats to review and we had the chance to try out their new yum yummy Baby Cookies, made for babies 7 months and older. They are soft organic biscuits made for babies waiting for their teeth to come in, which is perfect for Sidney Girl who is 10.5 months and NO TEETH! She had a great time enjoying her first baby cookie and wanted more as soon as she gobbled hers up.
