When I first heard about the Cube Dog app, I knew I would have to try it out! I am a sucker for virtual pets. Back in the 90’s I was a proud owner of a Tamagotchi- remember those? So give me the ability to make a cute dog and play with it on my phone, without all of the maintenance and potty training of a real puppy, and I am sold!
It was very easy to “build” my first cube dog. Of course, she is pink and named Lamby (after my dear Lambchop). Here’s a picture of her:
Cube Dog has really high quality 3D animations and you can rotate and zoom to get the best look at your pup. The app is compatible with the iPhone and the iPod touch 4th generation (with a camera). I’ve already downloaded it on both my iPhone and my iPod touch for Jackson to play with.
As much as I love building and playing with the Cube Dogs, I know this app will be very handy when a certain toddler needs to be occupied while out and about. He loves how the Cube Dog will bark and play with his touch. Jackson’s favorite part is when “Lamby” giggles while being petted. Lamby’s bark is even so realistic that our “real” dog Rex tries to figure out where the dog is when he hears her. My favorite part of the app is when your Cube Dog picks up his or her iPhone and calls you from the app, so adorable!
I can tell this will app will be used for a long time around here! If you have an iPhone or iPod, try it out for free on iTunes. It’s super cute and fun, especially for little ones! You can also check out Cube Dog on Facebook (http://facebook.com/cubedog) and watch out for a fun contest running June 13-17.
